About the Book:

A teenage boy begging God to make him straight. An evangelical father refusing to accept his son is gay. A college sophomore who could never predict the dangers about to overtake her and the ones she loves.

An intense and compassionate novel from beloved indie suspense author, Alana Terry, who has won awards from Women of Faith, The Book Club Network, Readers' Favorite, and many others.

No matter where you stand, Straightened will challenge you to delve into the controversy with your eyes wide open and extend the grace and empathy too often lacking from all sides of the aisle.

Note: Straightened won second place from the Christian Indie Author Network. It can be read as a standalone novel or as part of the Kennedy Stern Christian Suspense series.

My Review:

This book, like her others, tackles another weighty subject--homosexuality. Not one to shy away from tough topics, Ms. Terry, seeks to present different views in the story. While one may not agree with some of the characters, she seeks to share a story that will get people talking, and that she does. I didn't agree with parts of the story as I am a firm believer in the Bible and homosexuality being a sin as the Lord indicates it is in His Word. The writing is excellent (5 stars); I just do not agree with those who support homosexuality and some of the characters did (content for me is 2 stars) which is how I came up with a rating of a 3.

I was provided an uncorrected ARC of this book by the author. No review was required and all opinions are my own.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
