If I Were a Rich Girl by Sherri Renee

About the Book

Rindi always felt invisible at her other schools. Her family moves so much she's never had a chance to fit in. Now, half-way through her senior year, she's starting an elite school where she would normally fit in least of all, but one little lie propels her to the top of the social hierarchy.

Suddenly, she has it all. Friends, parties, boyfriends. Thanks to her teeny, tiny lie, she's living the life of a rich girl. So, why is she so unhappy?

When the truth finally comes out, her fictional world crashes down around her. Will any of her new friends be there to pick up the pieces, or will she become something even worse than invisible?

My Review:

This is the second book I read from this author. While this one was a young adult story, it captured me from the first page. What a great story that reminds me of what it is like to be in school and be the new girl who so wants to fit in. As a teacher, it also gives me great insights into things teens struggle with. The dialogue and story is very realistic. There is some swearing in the book although overall the book is a clean read. Excellent story that I highly recommend!

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy from the author. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
